The Centimeter corresponds to one hundredth part of the meter. The length is a magnitude created to measure the distance between two points, the units most used to measure the length are kilometer, hectometer, decameter, meter, decimeter, centimeter and millimeter. If you do not have a ruler at hand and you need to estimate the length of something in centimeters, use a pencil or pen, for example. Because the thickness of these objects is usually one centimeter.
Since 1983, the Meter has officially been defined as the length of the path traveled by the light in a vacuum during a certain time interval. The idea of a unified system of measures was first implemented in France at the time of the French Revolution. In the year 1789 a request was made to the members of the Academy of Sciences of that nation to create a unified system of measures. This system had several advantages compared to the previous ones, since the measures ceased to depend on parts of the human body, as they were until then, thus ceasing to be so arbitrary. This system was later followed by most countries in the world. According to the International System of Measures, the meter is considered to be the main unit of length measurement.
|cm to meter||cm to meter|
|1 cm = 0,0100 m||35 cm = 0,3500 m|
|2 cm = 0,0200 m||40 cm = 0,4000 m|
|3 cm = 0,0300 m||45 cm = 0,4500 m|
|4 cm = 0,0400 m||50 cm = 0,5000 m|
|5 cm = 0,0500 m||60 cm = 0,6000 m|
|10 cm = 0,1000 m||70 cm = 0,7000 m|
|15 cm = 0,1500 m||80 cm = 0,8000 m|
|20 cm = 0,2000 m||90 cm = 0,9000 m|
|25 cm = 0,2500 m||100 cm = 1 m|
|30 cm = 0,3000 m||500 cm = 5 m|
